Sandi Wagner, RN, MBA
Regional Nurse Liaison
Sandi has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and began her career after earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Adventist University in 2001. In 2011, she obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from The University of North Texas. In May of 2017, she received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Arlington and then received her master’s in business administration from Capella University in 2019. This was immediately followed with obtaining a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership in 2021. Presently, Sandi is continuing her education by pursuing a PhD in Strategic Leadership.
Driven by a great passion and belief that every patient deserves the best care possible, regardless of location, Sandi began her career in the Emergency department for many years. From there she expanded her experience by working in the following roles. As Stroke Coordinator, she led the team to be the first in the nation to obtain the Joint Commission Acute Stroke Readiness accreditation and participated in an institutional review board research study of stroke door-to-needle times. This role grew into inclusion of Telemedicine throughout the health system she worked for and assumed the duties as Telemedicine program manager. In this role she led them to be among the first to obtain the Telemedicine Accreditation from ClearHealth Quality Institute. Other areas of clinical leadership Sandi has held include Director of Medical unit, Case Manager, and she built and implemented the medical program at a local jail to ensure the proper care was provided to all inmates.
Sandi is committed to the development and growth to provide the best quality possible through best practices and continuous growth.
Sandi has presented at multiple national conferences on the topic of development and implementation for of quality programs to meet accreditation and regulatory standards. Sandi’s unique background in healthcare bespeaks her focus on the delivery of quality care and improved outcomes to all we serve.
