Hospitals, Physicians, and other providers will receive help from Blue Shield of California, in order to collaborate and improve patient care. Blue shield of California will invest $20 million to help providers develop accountable care organizations.
According to a press release by Blue Shield of California PRNewswire via Comtex, California hospitals and physicians will receive grants as a part of a pledge and commitment the company made last June. Blue Shield promised to limit profits to 2 percent, and return the difference to customer and the community.
