Hospital Physicians and other healthcare providers will soon hear about “Always Events” – a new initiative aimed at significantly elevating the standard for the patient care in US healthcare facilities. This new standard is described in a recent white paper by the Picker Institute, and is likely to also involve outsourced physicians. The term “always events” plays opposite to the more common term “never events” adopted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to describe events that should never happen in a patient’s care.
According to the white paper, many organizations are using Always Events to engage their staff and physicians. To read more about this interesting initiative, follow this link to Always Events®: Creating an Optimal Patient Experience
