Becky Sanders joined the OPYS team in October 2021 as the Executive Director of Telehealth Services. She comes to us with nearly 15 years’ experience in rural healthcare and telehealth. After 10 years as the Program Manager for the federally funded Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center, covering the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, Becky is excited share her passion for telehealth and patient access to healthcare in rural areas of the country.
Expect to hear more from Becky as she begins attending and presenting at various rural healthcare conferences throughout OPYS’s target markets. These include the states of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Washington, California, New York, and Florida. She looks forward to providing expert guidance on potential telehealth and virtual care service offerings to OPYS’s current and future partners.
Becky started her career in telecommunications with the National Exchange Carrier Association. She previously worked for the Indiana Rural Health Association as a Senior Director and was the Program Manager for the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center for 10 years. Becky has a Lean Healthcare Black Belt Certification from Purdue Healthcare Advisors and is a past National Rural Health Association Fellow. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
Becky is an avid reader with an interest in multiple genres including biographies, historical fiction, and sci-fi fantasy. On weekends you can find her traveling to Renaissance Faires, Scottish Highland games, and gaming conventions with her husband and 2 daughters.
